Do I have to pay customs duties on my order to the U.S.?
Yes. Due to recent changes in U.S. trade policy, all shipments containing items made in China, among other countries are subject to customs duties, regardless of their value.
Why am I being charged customs duties?
These duties are part of updated U.S. trade regulations aimed at tightening import controls. As a result, U.S. Customs now applies new tariffs to all these goods without exception. These charges are determined and collected by U.S. Customs authorities and are not controlled by SVD.
To make this process easier, SVD has implemented a customs duty simulator. During checkout, you’ll now see an estimated amount of the applicable duties so you can better understand the charges before finalizing your purchase.
How much are the duties?
Please find below a table of the latest* examples of common manufacturing countries:
Country | Reciprocal Tariff | Goods of EU-Origin | Total Tariff |
China | 30% | 20% | 50% |
Hong Kong | 30% | 20% | 50% |
